Academic Sales Assistant – Italian Speaking, Mare Nostrum Group Ltd

We are looking to recruit an Italian speaking sales assistant to sell and market text books and digital content of our client publishers. Reporting into the Sales Manager,  this would be an ideal first role for someone looking to start their career in publishing or broaden their responsibilities from a previous role.

Duties of the role include:

  • Build and maintain relationships with academics promoting and selling textbooks and digital content to academic institutions (universities, college libraries and professional associations)
  • Formulating sales strategies to maximise revenue and win new business
  • Working with wider marketing teams to ensure sales efforts are co-ordinated
  • Market and sell digital content to institutions directly and via third party vendors
  • Attending academic and trade conferences within the UK

Skills required:

  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Fluency in Italian
  • Team player
  • Positive, proactive and professional approach
