CAP to Provide Distribution, Sales, and Marketing Services for Rutgers University Press in EMEA and APAC
The Mare Nostrum Group is delighted to announce that from the 1st July 2023 Combined Academic Publishers (CAP) will be responsible for the distribution, sales, and marketing operations for Rutgers University Press in the following territories: UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. From this date CAP will replace Eurospan as distributor, and orders will be supplied by Mare Nostrum Group’s fulfilment and print partner—Wiley Distribution.
Micah Kleit, director at the press, commented:
Rutgers University Press has been growing rapidly in the last five years, and we are excited to work with the team at CAP on helping our sales truly take off outside of North America. We are delighted to begin a partnership with a sales group that is engaged, excited for our books, and takes a dynamic approach to academic and trade sales in its territories. We are looking forward to many years of collaboration and partnership to come.
David Pickering, managing director of the Mare Nostrum Group, commented:
We are delighted that Rutgers has chosen CAP as its international partner and the team are excited by the prospect of developing and strengthening Rutgers’ sales reach and turnover in our territories. There are some advantageous synergies between the Rutgers list and those of some of our other university press clients, particularly in film and media, anthropology, and Jewish studies; we know that this will further strengthen our marketing and sales offering in those subject areas. We share Rutgers’ ambition for their publications and feel that our experience and track record will assist us as we build the appreciation and sales of this exciting list.
