In order that we can identify and match individuals with new employment opportunities, both at Mare Nostrum Group and with our clients.

  • You may submit your CV via our website or directly to a consultant, for a specific opportunity or for consideration for future positions. Your CV will be stored securely in our database of candidates and accessible only by our recruitment consultants. You can update or remove your CV and details at any time by contacting us.
  • A record of interactions with you, including records of interviews, proposed opportunities, references, and copies of correspondence.
  • Other information relating to a job offer or employment with us or with a client, which could include contracts, employment dates, bank account details.

In the unlikely event we process any identifiable data which would be categorised as “Special” under the relevant data protection legislation, we would request your explicit consent to do so.

We hold your personal information so that we can:

  • Provide recruitment related services to you, and answer your queries.
  • Maintain a professional business relationship with you, where you are a user of our website, a client or a candidate.

Your personal information will only be visible within Mare Nostrum Group and our recruitment clients.

Why we may disclose your personal information to third parties

  • When your personal information is hosted in the cloud, either in email or database form, such storage may be accessible by our cloud providers, and therefore such storage provision may be considered as processing under the relevant data protection legislation. Any transmission of your data is at your own risk. Whilst we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted by you to us, we have strict policies, procedures and security features to try and prevent unauthorised access.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or for fraud protection purposes.

How long we hold information for

We will hold your data for no longer than 18 months before seeking confirmation that you are happy for us to continue to hold your data. If we have placed you either with one of our clients or you have been employed directly by us, we are required by law to hold certain data for a longer period to comply with our legal obligations such as Working Time, Right To Work, Pension, National Minimum/Living Wage, Tax, and National Insurance.
