Mare Nostrum Group Opens Office in London
Mare Nostrum Group (MNG) is pleased to announce the opening of its new London office, located at Central Court off Chancery Lane, in the building that formerly housed the London Patent Office. This strategic expansion establishes MNG’s first southern presence, complementing its established operations in Harrogate.
The new workspace, situated within a fully-serviced office building managed by Argyll, features purpose-built facilities including breakout spaces for client meetings, a galleried reading room, and distinctive architectural elements such as a glass-domed roof above balconied hallways.
The London office provides enhanced accessibility for international clients, particularly those from the United States, and facilitates closer collaboration with key partners including warehousing and print-on-demand partners Wiley and CPI. Additionally, the London presence enables MNG to access the broader publishing talent pool concentrated in London and Oxford.
The new office plays a crucial role in integrating staff from MNG’s recent acquisition of the Eurospan business. With many former Eurospan employees based in southern England, the London workspace supports MNG’s hybrid working policy, which requires staff to work in-office three days per week while maintaining flexibility for remote working on the remaining two days.
This approach aligns with research from Gallup, one of MNG’s clients, which demonstrates that hybrid working arrangements improve work-life balance, increase productivity, and strengthen colleague relationships compared to fully remote working models.
The new London office will encourage stronger, more productive working relationships between all team members and this investment by MNG further demonstrates its commitment to improving the wellbeing of the team and the culture within the business.
David Pickering, Manager Director, comments
Since acquiring Eurospan last year we have been keen to find a workspace to support new team members, help with productivity, and make them feel more connected to the wider business. The healthy culture at Mare Nostrum has been built over the years on a foundation of in-person collaboration and sound team relations and I am delighted that we now have a space in London to help further strengthen that.
