Marketing Assistant, Mare Nostrum Group

The Mare Nostrum STM team are recruiting a Marketing Assistant following recent expansion. The Marketing Assistant will be joining a team of two, and will play an instrumental role in executing the marketing activities for a wide range of global publishers covering a broad range of scientific, technical and medical subject areas.

Duties of the role include:

  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to design and update marketing materials such as flyers, adverts, graphics and catalogues. Working with a designer where necessary
  • Coordinating the mailing of leaflets and catalogues
  • Assisting in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns both online and offline
  • Creating digital assets for marketing activity
  • Ensuring that marketing materials are shared with publishers
  • Dealing with customer communications and orders
  • Updating and maintaining CRM systems
  • Conducting market research
  • Liaising with the sales team to supply marketing materials to sales representatives
  • Maintaining online channels to ensure they remain accurate and up to date
  • Potential to represent Mare Nostrum Group and the publishers we represent at external events and conferences
  • Supporting the rest of the STM team with marketing and administrative tasks
  • Monitoring the enquiries @inbox across teams

Skills required:

  • A keen eye for detail
  • Ideally 1 year of experience in marketing, publishing or a related role
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confidence of using databases and excel
  • Good organisation skills with ability to work on multiple projects
  • Knowledge of Affinity, InDesign or other comparable software would be desirable but not essential
