Marketing Assistant, Mare Nostrum Group
We are recruiting a Marketing Assistant to join the expanding MNG University Presses team. The Marketing Assistant will be joining a team of six, and will play an instrumental role in executing the marketing activities for a wide range of global university presses covering a broad range of humanities and social science subject areas.
Duties of the role include:
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to design and update marketing materials such as flyers, adverts graphics and catalogues. Working with our in-house designer where necessary
- Assisting in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns both online and offline
- Dealing with customer communications and orders
- Supporting external stakeholders such as authors with promotion and event efforts
- Updating and maintaining CRM systems
- Executing email campaigns to academics and relevant associations
- Conducting market research
- Maintaining online channels to ensure the remain accurate and up to date
- Potential to represent Mare Nostrum Group and the publishers we represent at external events and conferences
- Supporting the rest of the University Press team with marketing and administrative tasks
- Monitoring enquiries@ inbox across teams
Skills required:
- A keen eye for detail
- Ideally one year of experience in marketing, publishing or a related role
- Strong communication skills
- Good organisation skills with ability to work on multiple projects
- Confidence using databases and Excel
- Knowledge of Affinity, In Design or other comparable design software would be desirable but not essential
